Joy Divine
Kitchen & Foodbank

Grow. Rescue. Cook. Serve. Educate.

Passionately pursuing a Kenya where every stomach is full and no one has to worry where their next meal is coming from.

We want to empower those who are doing it tough not only through a hot meal but also through training opportunities so they can pull themselves up and into a brighter future than they ever dreamt possible.

What we do

Through our model of growing our own produce, rescuing food products before they go to waste, cooking nutritious meals with clean energy and ensuring these meals feed those who need it most we know seeing a Kenya that experiences zero hunger is possible.

Grow.

We have recently begun growing our own produce on a farm in Narok. We are passionate about sustainable food systems. We are playing our role in growing vegetables to give away to the vulnerable in the community.

Rescue.

We want to see a Kenya that experiences zero food waste so we have partnered with agro-processing organisations to rescue and distribute consumables to those going hungry.

Cook.

Our commercial-grade kitchen facilitates the preparations of hundreds of kilos of hot meals for those who need it most as well as providing a training ground for vulnerable women to gain the necessary skills to obtain sustainable work.

Serve.

Every week the Joy Divine Kitchen & Foodbank feeds 3000 vulnerable children, single mothers, street-connected families, the disabled the elderly, the sick and those affected by disasters across Kenya.

Educate.

Education is the cornerstone of all we do. We are passionate about ensuring children stay in school with full stomachs and provide vulnerable children with opportunities to attend camps and learn outside of the classroom.

Through our accredited training course, we are empowering young mothers with the practical skills to pull themselves up and into sustainable futures.
